It is with great sadness that the museum has made the difficult decision to postpone much of our summer programming. We will no longer host Art Museum Mondays, Wine about History, and Jim Gatchell’s Living History Day. We want out visitors and community to be safe and we feel the responsible thing for us to do is not gather groups of people at events like these. We have made this decision with the information and resources available to us at this time.
Living History Day has a long history of being a “community day” where museum admission is free. In an effort to continue this Jim Gatchell spirit of community, we are offering free admission to Johnson County residents every Saturday in June. We hope to see our community visit their local museum, view new exhibits, and help us plan for next year. Saturday hours are 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
