The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum brings back our homeschool program for the 2020 – 2021 school season. September 17, October 16, January 21, March 18, and May 20 are when the program will occur. Any homeschooler is free to attend and there is no cost. R.S.V.P. is appreciated so that the museum can identify supply needs. Unless specified, the program will occur from 2 – 3:30 p.m. in Room 103 at Bomber Mountain Civic Center.
The museum conducts a multi-age approach with each program. Catered to a specific theme, each program features history, hands-on activities and experiments, and sometimes a take-away to continue the learning experience at home. Past themes have included Trench Art, Bridges of Johnson County, Architecture of Buffalo, cemetery symbols, etc. If interested, contact Jennifer at educator@jimgatchell.com
The September 17 program will occur at Willow Grove Cemetery and highlight the history of Wyoming suffrage and we will visit prominent women in the cemetery.
