Memories of Heart Mountain

Join us on Thursday, March 15 at 6:00 p.m. at the Buffalo High School auditorium to hear this fantastic presentation.
Sam Mihara was only nine years old when he and his family were moved into the Heart Mountain Internment Camp during World War Two.
Today, the site is home to the Heart Mountain Interpretive Center located between Powell and Cody, WY.

Memorandum of Understanding

Below is the memorandum of understanding between Johnson County, the Johnson County Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum, and the Gatchell Museum Association, Inc. This was approved December 5, 2017. As a part of the museum’s reaccreditation process (through the American Alliance of Museums, AAM), a document such as this was needed to define how the museum falls within the county structure.
